I wasn't sure if sharing this was the right choice. My mind was paralyzed by fear of being vulnerable or rejected, but I think that would have made me surrender to the false ideas that come to my mind every so often.

So here it is... raw, personal, flawed me... Just saved by a good, good God.

We begin this year with dreams and hopes, but somewhere in there, the exhaustion of the past year slips through the cracks and weighs us down. Don't forget, you made it this far by the grace of God. He will pull us through once more because He is that faithful.

Pray this with us:

God, thank you for getting us this far. We rely on you to do it again this year. We surrender all our worries, exhaustion, dreams and expectations at your feet, the safest place. Pave the way for us to exalt you through the way we love and treat others. Help us to love ourselves in the process, too. Our need of you is only exceeded by your love for us. Thank you for such love. In your name we pray,

Amen.

How blessed are we that we live in a time in which we can simply receive God's grace through Christ's sacrifie? It wasn't easy for Him, so I could be as simple as believing for us. This verse encourages us to let the Spirit renew our thoughts and attitudes. God is willing to do the transforming work in us, we just need to let Him.

"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

Ask God to transform you through the renovation of your understanding today.

My friend, He can do the same for you. There's no pit deep enough, His loving hand won't reach in for you.
