Live & Stay

It’s always hard to begin to put it into words, but some things should not stay hidden. As believers, it’s seamless to fall into desperate people pleasing and performing. God will move us into pouring out in love to himself and to our neighbor. I don’t think that it should translate into self-neglect or hatred.

What to do when our minds point the finger of blame, guilt, frustration, and loathing to our very selves? What happens when we aim the aggression at what should be and is the temple of His very Spirit? At first and even now, it’s so hard to say out loud, but it takes hope and faith to be able to admit it, to seek help and try and help others with the same struggle.

Self-harm is not something to boast about; it’s nothing glorious… It’s a dark and lonely place. It’s a very chaotic brain space when you are your worst enemy.

Jesus still wants you

He still loves you

He bore the stripes, so we wouldn’t have to

Live & stay

Your lifelong hymn is not finished yet.

He will open the path through it.

We can be helped still.   With love, -C P.S. If this is your battle, please don't hesitate to seek out professional help.
